Tight-space Gigabit Ethernet extension

This 0.6 m shielded Cat 6 cable adds a 90 degree downward bend to an existing RJ45 port. The male plug inserts into the device while the female jack accepts a standard patch cable. Gold-plated contacts and pure copper 26 AWG conductors support 1000 Mbps transmission.

Verify port orientation and panel clearance

Confirm the socket on your router, switch or PC faces the direction that a downward bend requires. The female end includes screw mounting holes, so ensure the panel or bracket has matching cut-outs. Cable length is fixed at 60 cm, so measure the run before ordering.

Replaces straight patch cords in cramped installs

Use this adapter when a straight connector would foul furniture, rack rails or a wall-mounted TV. The right-angle design reduces strain on the device port from repeated plugging and unplugging. Not suited for runs longer than 1.9 ft or for buyers who need an upward, left or right bend instead.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.6 m cable come with the screws needed for the panel-mount jack?

Yes, the package includes the 90 degree down RJ45 male-to-female extension cable plus two mounting screws for the panel-mount jack.

Should I pick the Down bend or one of the other three 90 degree orientations?

Choose the Down bend when the port faces upward and you need the cable to run downward; select Upper, Left or Right if the port orientation requires the cable to exit in a different direction.

Will the 26 AWG pure-copper cores deliver a full 1000 Mbps link in my gigabit router?

The Cat 6 shielded twisted-pair construction with gold-plated contacts is rated for 1000 Mbps gigabit Ethernet, so a standard gigabit connection will run at line rate.
