Active DP to VGA adapter

This Vszerda adapter converts a DisplayPort 1.1 source into a VGA signal for monitors or projectors. It supports video bandwidth up to 10.8 Gbps and a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. A built-in chip handles the active conversion from digital to analogue RGB video. The cable measures 20.5 cm end to end.

Check your DisplayPort version and port type

Verify that your source device provides a standard 20-pin DisplayPort output compatible with version 1.1 signalling. The adapter draws power from the DP port, so the host must supply the auxiliary channel current specified in the standard. It will not work with DisplayPort++ dual-mode sources that expect a passive dongle. Ensure the target display accepts a 15-pin VGA input at 1080p.
