The unshielded twisted-pair design uses 100 percent bare copper conductors terminated with gold-plated RJ45 connectors to minimise noise and interference. Backward compatibility with Cat 5e and Cat 5 equipment allows the cable to slot into existing network infrastructure without requiring hardware upgrades.
