  • Universal RJ45 compatibility connects routers, modems, consoles and PCs straight out of the box

50-Foot Braided Flat Cat 8 Cable

This 15-metre Category 8 cable delivers up to 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz bandwidth. The flat 28 AWG construction and nylon braid make it easy to route under doors, along walls or beneath carpets. Gold-plated RJ45 contacts provide low-loss signal transfer for gaming, streaming or large file downloads.

Upgrade from Lower-Category Cables

Replacing Cat 5e or Cat 6 links removes the bandwidth ceiling that causes lag during 4K streaming or competitive play. The jump is worth it when both endpoints and the switch support multi-gigabit speeds and you need the full 40 Gbps headroom. Older routers or network cards that top out at 1 Gbps will not benefit from the higher specification.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The double-jacket design and 15 000-bend rating keep performance stable during long gaming sessions or continuous backup jobs. Shielded twisted pairs resist interference from power cables running nearby, so throughput stays consistent rather than spiking and dropping. Heat or cold does not degrade the PVC-and-nylon sheath, maintaining reliable operation over extended periods.

Questions about this item

What connector type and wire gauge does this 50-foot Cat 8 cable use?

The cable uses gold-plated RJ45 connectors with 50-micron gold pins and 28 AWG conductors.

How should the flat braided cable be routed to avoid damaging the shielding?

Run the flat cable along walls, under doors, or under carpet; avoid sharp kinks or tight bends that could crush the nylon braid and inner shield.

How many bend cycles is the braided jacket rated for before failure?

The nylon braided jacket is tested to withstand over 15000 bend cycles without breaking.
