It supports extended, duplicated or spliced dual-monitor layouts at 4K resolution and 30 Hz refresh rate. The unit suits home-office workers, streamers or anyone who needs to keep two systems active on a single desk without swapping cables.

The switch offers five change-over methods: keyboard hotkeys, mouse-click switching, front-panel toggle, auto-scan at adjustable intervals from 8 to 999 seconds, and a wired remote button. Power is drawn from a 5 volt supply, so there is no internal battery to degrade during long sessions. Standard 104-key keyboards and three-button mice connect to the dedicated rear USB ports; gaming or multimedia peripherals that are not well supported on those ports can be used by disabling the hotkey function.

Verify your video outputs

Each computer must provide two HDMI outputs — cable A and cable B — that plug into the corresponding IN A and IN B ports on the KVM. If a system only has DVI, VGA, DisplayPort or USB-C video, reliable adapters are required but are not included. Avoid placing adapters on both the computer and monitor ends of the same video path. Also confirm that the USB cable from each computer goes to the matching IN A port on the switch.
