Right-angled DC-to-USB-C adapter for tight ports
This 90-degree adapter converts a DC 4.0x1.3mm jack input into a USB-C output so you can charge a laptop, tablet or phone from an existing barrel-style power source. The right-angle moulding lets the plug seat flush against the device even when surrounding clearance is minimal. It supports a wide range of fast-charge protocols including QC2.0, QC3.0, PD and several proprietary standards. The unit is rated for a maximum output of 65W.
Practical limits of the DC 18-20V input range
The adapter only accepts an input voltage between 18V and 20V, so it cannot be used with lower-voltage barrel supplies such as 12V or 15V sources. Output profiles are fixed at 5V/2A, 9V/3A, 12V/2A, 15V/2A and 20V/3.25A, meaning the connected device must negotiate one of these exact steps. Total power is capped at 65W, so higher-draw laptops that require more than 65W will not charge at full speed. The 4.0x1.3mm jack size also excludes other common barrel diameters.
Replaces a lost or bulky original charger when 65W
If your original USB-C charger is missing, damaged or simply too straight to fit a cramped port, this adapter lets you keep using a compatible 18-20V DC brick you already own. The upgrade makes sense when the barrel supply can deliver at least 65W and the device negotiates 20V/3.25A, otherwise charging will fall back to a lower profile. It does not help builders who need a second independent USB-C source or users whose only power source is below 18V.

Questions about this item
Does the 4.0 × 1.3 mm DC jack match my laptop's original barrel connector?
The adapter accepts a DC 18–20 V input through a 4.0 × 1.3 mm barrel jack, so it fits laptops that use that exact plug size.
Will the 65 W maximum output actually charge a 65 W MacBook at full speed?
Yes, the USB-C port can deliver 20 V at 3.25 A, reaching the 65 W ceiling that a 65 W MacBook expects for full-speed charging.
What charging protocols does the USB-C port negotiate with a connected device?
It supports USB PD plus QC2.0, QC3.0, DCP, PE+1.1, PE2.0, FCP, AFC, SFCP and SCP, allowing the port to agree the correct voltage with each device.
