A 3.3 ft DisplayPort 2.1 cable delivering 40 Gbps for 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 240 Hz with triple shielding and 28 AWG conductors
This Vszerda cable carries DisplayPort 2.1 signals at 40Gbps over a 3.3ft run. It supports 8K at 60Hz with DSC, 4K at 144Hz or 120Hz, 2K at 240Hz, and 1080P at 360Hz. The link is HDCP compliant and works with FreeSync and G-Sync variable-refresh displays. It suits gamers and creators who need high refresh rates at high resolutions.
The cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.4 and 1.2 equipment, so it drops into existing ports without adapters. The jump is worth it when your monitor and graphics card both support DP 2.1 UHBR10 and you want 4K above 120Hz or 2K above 144Hz. Older cables cannot deliver the 40Gbps bandwidth those modes require.
A single 8K60Hz stream fits within the 40Gbps link using DSC 1.2a compression. The same bandwidth can drive two 4K60Hz screens or three 2K60Hz screens simultaneously. It runs out when you need uncompressed 8K above 60Hz or 4K above 144Hz without DSC, which would exceed the UHBR10 limit.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The cable is 3.3ft long, so measure from your graphics card port to the monitor input; allow a little slack for routing behind the desk.
No driver is required; the cable is passive and backwards compatible with DP 1.4 and 1.2, so the link negotiates automatically once both ends are seated firmly.
The conductors are solid copper and do not degrade under normal use; replace only if the cable is kinked, the latch breaks, or you see intermittent signal loss.
