Vszerda DisplayPort Display Emulator EDID Emulator Plug 2K (2PCS)
A DisplayPort dummy plug that emulates a 2560×1600@60Hz display for headless GPU operation
- Enables headless GPU operation by emulating a connected display
- Supports 2560×1600 at 60 Hz for high-resolution remote access
- Works with Windows, macOS and Linux without drivers or software
- Ultra-compact plug-and-play design with hot-plug detection included
- Low-power solution replaces a physical monitor for servers and mining rigs
Headless DisplayPort Emulator
This DisplayPort dummy plug emulates a connected monitor so a headless PC or server can initialise its GPU and serve a remote desktop at full resolution. It works with any graphics card that has a DisplayPort output and requires no drivers, software or external power. The two-pack suits multi-system deployments such as colocation racks, home servers or mining rigs.
Sustained Operation
The plug draws minimal power and is rated for continuous, fan-less use in server and colocation environments. Hot-plug detection means the GPU recognises the emulator immediately on insertion or removal without a reboot. Stability is maintained during long rendering, simulation or cryptocurrency mining sessions because the device simply presents a fixed EDID to the graphics card.
Resolution Limits
Maximum advertised timings are 2560x1600 at 60 Hz and 3840x2160 at 17 Hz; 4096x2160 is also listed at 17 Hz. Buyers who need 4K at 60 Hz or higher refresh rates at 2560x1600 should look for a different emulator.

Questions about this item
Does the DisplayPort dummy plug consume measurable power or produce heat during continuous operation?
The plug is described as having low power consumption and requires no external power, so it adds negligible load and heat to the system.
What must the host system provide for the emulator to function?
A graphics card with a DisplayPort output is required; the adapter works with Windows, macOS and Linux without drivers or software.
Will the emulator work with an older GPU that only supports lower resolutions?
It emulates resolutions including 1920×1080@60 Hz, 2560×1600@60 Hz and 3840×2160@17 Hz, so the GPU must support at least one of those modes.
