Converts a DisplayPort output to HDMI for 4K at 60 Hz or 1080p at 120 Hz with mirror and extend modes for PC, laptop, projector and HDTV
The Vszerda adapter converts a male DisplayPort output to a female HDMI input for PCs, laptops, projectors and HDTVs. It carries both video and audio signals through a single cable. Buyers who need an active converter for DisplayPort Dual-Mode sources or who require a DisplayPort input on an HDMI source cannot use this passive adapter.
The adapter maintains 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz and 1920 x 1080 at 120 Hz with YCbCr 4:2:0 colour. At 4K it also supports RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4 and YCbCr 4:2:2 at 30 Hz, while 1080p runs at 60 Hz in those formats. A long list of lower resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 is also supported at 60 Hz. Users who need 4K above 60 Hz or 1080p above 120 Hz will not get those rates from this adapter.
Connect the DisplayPort plug to the source and an HDMI cable to the female port; no drivers or external power are required. The adapter works in one direction only, from DisplayPort source to HDMI display, so reversing the connection will not function. Buyers who expect bi-directional switching or who need a latch-release mechanism on the HDMI side should verify their cable retention before purchase.
