Connects a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI display with support for 1080P 3D video and 7.1 audio channels
This compact adapter links a DisplayPort-equipped desktop or laptop to an HDMI display such as a monitor, HDTV or projector. It accepts a standard HDMI cable (not included) and carries both video and multi-channel audio. The male DisplayPort plug features latches with a release button for a secure connection.
Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and help maintain signal quality over repeated insertions. The passive construction means it relies on the source device to output a DP++ dual-mode signal; it will not convert a pure DisplayPort stream from a non-DP++ port. No external power is required.
Maximum supported video resolution is 1920 x 1200 at 1080p, including 3D formats, so 4K or higher refresh-rate panels cannot be driven at their native resolution. Audio is limited to uncompressed 2.0, 5.1 or 7.1 channels. Buyers needing 4K output or active signal conversion should choose a different adapter.

The adapter supports video resolutions up to 1920x1200 and 1080P Full HD, including 3D content.
The DisplayPort connector includes latches with a release button that must be depressed before unplugging for a secure fit.
Connect the male DisplayPort end to the source device, attach an HDMI cable to the female port, then configure display settings; a common mistake is forgetting that an HDMI cable is required and not included.
