Connects a DisplayPort source to a VGA display at up to 1920x1080@60Hz with a secure latching connector
This six-foot male-to-male cable connects a DisplayPort source to a VGA display such as a monitor, projector or TV. An integrated IC chip converts the digital signal to analogue for immediate plug-and-play operation. The connector features latches that lock into place for a secure fit. Gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain signal quality.
Verify that the source device has a full-size DisplayPort output and the display has a VGA input. The adapter works in one direction only; it cannot send a VGA signal to a DisplayPort screen. Audio is not carried over this connection, so a separate audio path is required if sound is needed. No driver installation is necessary on supported operating systems.
Ideal for extending or mirroring a desktop to a legacy VGA monitor or projector at resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz. Buyers who need audio through the same cable, bi-directional conversion or higher refresh rates should look at a different solution.
