Two-computer DP 1.2 KVM switch

This DisplayPort 1.2 KVM switch lets two computers share one monitor, keyboard, mouse and two USB 2.0 peripherals. It supports resolutions up to 4096x2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 colour sampling and is compatible with 3840x2160 at 60 Hz. The unit works with Windows, Linux, macOS and other listed operating systems without drivers.

Four switching methods and included cables

Hot-key sequences, mouse-wheel double-click, a front-panel button and a wired remote push button give four ways to change the active computer. The package supplies two special USB cables, two DisplayPort cables, a DC 5 V 2 A power adapter and the remote button so the switch is ready to use immediately. Audio and microphone ports are also provided for speaker or headset sharing.

Not for DP 1.4 or high-refresh monitors

This KVM switch does not support DisplayPort 1.4 devices or refresh rates of 100 Hz, 120 Hz or 144 Hz. Buyers whose displays require those higher refresh rates or a newer DP version cannot use this model. If a computer lacks a native DisplayPort output, a chip-based converter is required and its quality will affect switch operation.

Questions about this item

Will the DC 5 V 2 A power adapter need replacing over time?

The unit ships with a DC 5 V 2 A adapter; like any external supply it may eventually wear out and can be swapped for an equivalent 5 V 2 A unit.

What refresh-rate ceiling appears first when the switch runs continuously?

The DP 1.2 link tops out at 4096×2160 at 60 Hz; 100 Hz, 120 Hz and 144 Hz modes are not supported.

How much heat or fan noise does the KVM produce during all-day operation?

The device has no fan and draws only 5 V 2 A, so it runs silently with barely noticeable warmth.
