Bi-Directional DisplayPort 1.4 Switch

This DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch lets you route two sources to one display or one source across two displays. It is built for users who need to share a single high-resolution monitor between multiple computers or send one signal to alternate screens. External USB power is required for operation.

Manual Select Button and USB Power

A front-panel select button toggles the active path without software. The unit draws power from a USB cable that must be connected before any source or display will show an image. Both displays cannot be active at the same time.

8K 30Hz and 4K 120Hz Headroom

The switch passes up to 32.4 Gbps, supporting 8K at 30 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. Combined input and output cable length should stay within three metres to avoid signal loss.

Questions about this item

Will the USB power cable or the Select button wear out and need replacement?

The unit draws power from an external USB cable and uses a physical Select button for switching; both are standard components with no user-serviceable parts inside.

What resolution and refresh rate ceiling will I hit first during extended gaming sessions?

The switch tops out at 8K 30 Hz, 4K 120 Hz or 1080p 240 Hz with a 32.4 Gbps bandwidth limit, so 4K 120 Hz is the practical ceiling for high-refresh gaming.

Does the box get hot or noisy when powered all day?

It has no fan and draws only low USB power, so it runs silently and stays cool during continuous operation.
