Vszerda HDMI Extender 30m Cat5e Cat6

This Vszerda extender sends HDMI video and audio over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 30 metres. The set includes a sender and a receiver with one RJ45 port each. No external power supply or driver installation is required for operation.

Installers needing 1080p over structured cabling

The unit passes 1080p and 1920x1200 signals with HDCP 1.1 and 1.2 compliance. It does not carry 4k*2k at full frame rates or HDR metadata, so buyers needing those formats should select a different class of extender.

30 metre reach over Cat5e or Cat6

A single Cat5e or Cat6 cable replaces a long HDMI run and delivers point-to-point transmission up to 30 metres. The 1.65 Gbps link supports 1080p and listed audio formats without added latency.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the sender and receiver units using Cat5e or Cat6 cable?

Connect an HDMI source to the sender, run a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 30 metres to the receiver, then connect the receiver to your display. The step often missed is ensuring the cable is a solid-core run, not stranded patch cord, for reliable 1.65 Gbps signal transmission.

Will the PVC housing or RJ45 ports need replacement after extended use?

The PVC shell is lightning-proof and built for durability, while the RJ45 ports are rated for repeated insertion cycles. No user-serviceable parts are inside, so no scheduled maintenance is required under normal office or home use.

What resolution limit appears first when pushing cable length toward 30 metres?

At the full 30 metre reach the extender maintains 1080p and 1920 x 1200 at 1.65 Gbps. Higher resolutions such as 4k x 2k are listed but will typically drop out before 1080p as cable length increases.
