SKU CH-V9RZ-GXK4Q

IP68-rated waterproof RJ45 coupler joins two Ethernet cables for outdoor or industrial runs

  • IP68 rating protects outdoor connections from dust and water ingress
  • Splitter joins two short cables to extend a network run without tools
  • Shielded metal housing preserves signal integrity up to 100 Mbps
  • Gold-plated pure copper contacts maintain reliable contact across Cat5 to Cat8 cables
  • TIA/EIA 568-C.2 compliance and RoHS certification confirm standards-based quality

IP68 Waterproof RJ45 Coupler Splitter

This IP68-rated waterproof coupler splits one Ethernet connection into two female ports for outdoor or industrial use. It accepts Cat5 through Cat8 cables with a tool-free, plug-and-play design. The gold-plated pure copper contacts and full metal shielding maintain signal integrity in harsh environments. It is sold as a pair for proper operation.

Practical limits of the IP68 interface

The IP68 rating protects against dust ingress and water immersion for permanent outdoor installations. Data throughput reaches 100 Mbps when used with Cat6 or Cat7 cables, which is the ceiling for this coupler design. The device meets Category 6 performance and complies with the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard. RoHS certification confirms restricted hazardous substance compliance.

Capacity and headroom for network runs

The coupler comfortably handles 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet speeds for IP cameras, holiday lighting, and industrial sensors. It runs out of headroom for Gigabit or 10 Gigabit networks because the internal wiring is limited to 100 Mbps. Using a single unit instead of the required pair restricts the link to one-way communication only. The shielded housing prevents signal loss across the joint.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the single coupler or the pair for my outdoor IP camera run?

The listing supplies one pair of female-to-female couplers; use both ends together or the link will only pass traffic in one direction.

What real-world throughput will I see with Cat6 cables through this IP68 coupler?

The internal full-metal shield meets Category 6 performance, but the coupler itself is rated for up to 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet speeds.

Does the IP68 rating and TIA/EIA 568-C.2 compliance cap the link at Gigabit or 100 Mbps?

The hardware is certified to the 568-C.2 standard for Cat6, yet the splitter’s own specification limits the connection to 100 Mbps regardless of cable category.
