Connects a PCIe x4 card to an M.2 Key A or E slot with a 270° riser and optional 4-pin FDD power
This adapter connects a standard PCIe device to an M.2 Key A or E slot on a motherboard. It accepts M.2 type 2230 modules and provides a 270-degree angled PCIe 4x connector. A 4-pin FDD power connector supplies 12V power when the installed device requires it.
The cable allows a full-size PCIe card to be used where only an M.2 Key A-E slot exists. The upgrade is worthwhile when a system lacks a standard PCIe slot but has a compatible M.2 interface supporting PCIe signalling rather than CNVio2. Speed is limited to PCIe 1x throughput because the M.2 link width restricts bandwidth.
High-quality wire and connectors maintain PCIe 3.0 stability during extended transfers. The optional 4-pin FDD power feed prevents voltage drop on the 12V rail when the attached card draws continuous current. No drivers are required across Windows XP through 11 and Linux.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The 270° connector bends back toward the board, so it fits inside tight chassis where a straight riser would hit the bracket or side panel.
They often omit the single mounting screw that locks the M.2 card to the standoff; without it the edge connector can lift and drop link speed.
Attach the FDD plug only if the PCIe card requires 12 V auxiliary power; leave it disconnected for cards that draw all power from the slot.
