Vszerda Mini SAS SFF-8087 Cable 3.3 ft 6.0 Gbps
This Vszerda cable carries SAS traffic at up to 6.0 Gbps over a 3.3 ft internal run. It connects two SFF-8087 ports on workstations, servers, rack-mounted servers or RAID controllers. The 36-pin male Mini-SAS plugs include locking latches for a secure fit. Supplied as a single 3.3 ft assembly.
Check Your Setup Before Ordering
Verify that both devices present an SFF-8087 Mini-SAS receptacle rated for 6.0 Gbps operation. Confirm the 3.3 ft length reaches between the intended ports inside your chassis without sharp bends. Ensure the 30 AWG conductors suit the current and airflow conditions of your build. The cable is designed for internal use only.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw in Normal Use
As a passive copper assembly the cable adds no active cooling requirement and produces no audible noise. The 30 AWG wires carry signal current with negligible resistive heating under normal SAS loads. Power draw is limited to the signalling levels of the connected controllers. No external power connection is needed.

Questions about this item
Does the 3.3 ft SFF-8087 cable ship alone or with extra hardware?
The package contains one 3.3 ft SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 cable with locking latches on both 36-pin plugs; no brackets, screws or additional cables are included.
When should I choose the 3.3 ft length over a shorter or longer Mini-SAS cable?
Select the 3.3 ft length when the RAID controller and backplane are in the same chassis but need slack for cable routing around drive cages or full-height cards.
What does the 6.0 Gbps rating mean for a drive connected through this cable?
Each of the four lanes runs at 6.0 Gbps, so a single SAS SSD or HDD attached to one lane can transfer at up to 6.0 Gbps.
