Converts an mSATA SSD to a 2.5 inch SATA 3.0 drive using a 22-pin connector
This adapter converts an mSATA solid-state drive into a standard 2.5 inch SATA 3.0 form factor using a 22 pin connector. It enables the use of compact mSATA modules in drive bays or enclosures designed for larger SATA drives. Builders upgrading older laptops or compact systems can repurpose existing mSATA storage without replacing the drive itself.
The adapter contains no active cooling or power regulation circuitry, so thermal performance depends entirely on the host enclosure or drive bay airflow. Under continuous read or write workloads the mSATA module may reach higher temperatures than in its original slot. Users running heavy database or video tasks should verify that their chassis provides adequate passive cooling for the bare module.

The adapter is passive and uses only the power supplied through the SATA 3.0 22-pin connection; it adds no active circuitry that would increase consumption.
You need an mSATA solid-state drive and a host with a standard 2.5" SATA 3.0 22-pin port.
