Control two computers with one monitor, keyboard and mouse via VGA up to 1920 x 1080, plus three USB ports for peripherals
This Vszerda MT-VIKI KVM switch lets you control two computers from a single VGA monitor, keyboard and mouse. It includes three USB hub ports for attaching a printer, flash drive or other peripherals. The unit draws power from the connected hosts through its integrated 2-in-1 VGA and USB cables, so no external adapter is needed. Hot-plug support and a wired desktop selector make switching convenient.
Home-office users and small-business operators who run two legacy or budget systems will appreciate the shared monitor, keyboard, mouse and USB device access. The switch works with Windows, Mac, Linux and several older operating systems. Buyers who require digital video inputs such as HDMI or DisplayPort, or who need USB 3.0 data speeds for high-throughput storage, should look at a different class of KVM switch.
Video bandwidth supports 1080p output on the shared display, which is adequate for office applications, web browsing and basic multitasking. The three USB ports operate at USB 2.0 speeds, so large file transfers to external drives will be slower than on a native USB 3.0 connection. Gaming keyboards with advanced macro or lighting features may not function fully through the switch.

Each computer needs a VGA video output and a standard USB port for the cable pigtail that carries both video data and power.
The hub ports are USB 2.0, so USB 3.0 peripherals will function but only at USB 2.0 speeds and without any gaming-specific features.
Set the connected monitor to 1920 x 1080 in the OS display settings; if the image is stable and the front-panel LED for the active port is lit, the link is working.
