Compatible PSU models

This 18 AWG PCIe cable fits Corsair RMi series units including the RM650i, RM750i, RM850i and RM1000i. It provides an 8-pin 6+2 connector for graphics cards that require supplemental power. The sleeved net jacket protects the wires inside a build. Builders using other PSU lines cannot use this cable.

Thermals noise and power draw

The 18 AWG conductors handle the current demanded by supported GPUs without excessive voltage drop. In normal operation the cable runs cool and adds no audible noise to the system. Power delivery stays within the design limits of the listed RMi power supplies.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 6+2 pin end to my GPU without forcing the wrong orientation?

Align the clip on the 6+2 connector with the notch on the graphics-card socket, then press straight in until it clicks; the split design lets you use it as a 6-pin or 8-pin plug.

Will the sleeved 18AWG cable need replacement after a few years of use?

The 18AWG conductors and sleeved net are rated for continuous power delivery to RM650i, RM750i, RM850i and RM1000i units, so no scheduled replacement is required unless physical damage occurs.
