SKU CH-G994-9DP24

Splits one 6-pin PCIe connector into two 8-pin connectors using 18AWG copper wire with 60 cm and 20 cm lengths

  • Splits one 6-pin into two 8-pin connectors for multi-GPU power
  • 18AWG copper conductors deliver reliable current to each graphics card
  • Main 60 cm lead plus 20 cm Y-split gives flexible routing inside the case
  • Compatible with standard modular PSUs and listed mining breakout boards
  • Supports SLI and CrossfireX configurations for dual-card gaming setups

PCIe 6-pin to dual 8-pin splitter

This Vszerda cable splits one 6-pin PCIe output from a modular power supply into two 8-pin connectors. It uses 18AWG copper conductors and is intended for GPUs that require dual 8-pin power inputs. The main lead runs 60 centimetres and the Y-split tails add 20 centimetres each.

Upgrade when a PSU lacks enough 8-pin ports

The adapter replaces the need for a new power supply when your current unit only offers 6-pin PCIe outputs but the graphics card demands two 8-pin plugs. It is worth the jump for mining rigs using server PSUs such as the DPS-1200FB, DPS-1200QB, PS-2751-5Q, HSTSN-PL12, DPS-700LB, PS-2112-5L, DPS-750RB or DL580 models, and for any standard pin-map modular PSU including the Coolermaster Silent 1200W.

Simple plug-in but watch total draw

Installation is a direct male-to-male connection with no tools required. The main risk is exceeding the 6-pin source rating because two 8-pin loads now share one 6-pin feed. Builders who need guaranteed per-connector current limits or who run cards with three 8-pin sockets should not use this splitter.

Questions about this item

Will the 60 cm main cable and 20 cm Y-split reach my graphics cards in a mid-tower case?

The main run is 60 cm from the PSU to the splitter, then each 8-pin branch adds 20 cm, giving plenty of length for typical mid-tower GPU placement.

Which way round do the 6-pin and 8-pin connectors go, and what is the common mistake?

Plug the single 6-pin male into the modular PSU port first, then attach the two 8-pin males to the GPU; the error is forcing an 8-pin into the PSU side.

The 18 AWG copper wires will carry how much current before I should consider replacing the cable?

18 AWG copper is rated for continuous loads well above typical dual 8-pin GPU draw; replace only if insulation cracks, pins discolour or you upgrade to a higher-wattage PSU.
