Converts a PCIe 8-pin connector into an EPS-12V 8-pin (4+4) or P4 ATX 4-pin for dual, quad CPU and server motherboards, 34 cm, 18 AWG
This Vszerda cable converts a PCIe 8-pin female connector into an EPS-12V 8-pin (4+4) male plug. It also works as a P4 ATX 4-pin connector for older motherboards. The 34 cm length uses 18 AWG tin-coated copper wire rated to the 1007 specification.
Use it when a power supply lacks the dedicated CPU 8-pin or 4+4 lead required by dual-socket or quad-socket server motherboards. The jump is worth it only when the PSU has spare PCIe 8-pin outputs and the motherboard demands EPS-12V power.
Suits anyone adding a workstation or server board to an existing supply that has unused PCIe connectors. Not for users who need to power a graphics card from a CPU header, or anyone whose PSU has no free PCIe 8-pin ports.

The cable is 34 cm long including both connectors, so allow at least that much depth behind the tray for a gentle bend radius without straining the 18 AWG wires.
Match the keyed notch on the 4+4 male plug to the motherboard header; the split design lets you use either the full 8-pin or just the 4-pin half for P4 ATX boards.
Inspect the sleeve and connectors whenever you rebuild; replace the cable if the tin-coated copper shows discoloration, the sleeve frays, or the latch tabs no longer click securely.
