Short Thunderbolt 4 cable

This 2.3 ft Thunderbolt 4 cable carries 40 Gbps data and 100 W power over a male-to-male USB-C link. It is built for users who need full Thunderbolt bandwidth between devices that sit close together on a desk.

Single-cable docking and display

The cable replaces a separate dock cable and power brick by delivering 100 W charging while driving an 8K display at 60 Hz or two 4K displays at 60 Hz. Backward compatibility with USB 4.0, 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 means older peripherals still connect without adapters.

Compact build for tight spaces

At 0.7 m the black cable stays tidy behind monitors or inside laptop bags, reducing strain on ports during frequent connect-disconnect cycles. The short length suits permanent desktop links or travel kits where excess slack would snag.

Questions about this item

Will the 100W charging capability degrade over time with daily use?

The cable is certified for 100W Power Delivery and maintains that rating for its service life; no periodic recalibration or replacement of the charging function is required.

What limits sustained 40Gbps transfers during long sessions?

The 2.3 ft length keeps signal loss minimal, so the practical limit is the host controller or storage device rather than the cable itself.

Does the cable get warm or draw extra power when running 8K@60Hz all day?

Passive Thunderbolt 4 cables of this length do not generate noticeable heat and consume no power beyond what the connected devices negotiate.
