Vszerda QSFP28 to 4xSFP28 Breakout Cable 1.64FT/0.5m
Splits a 100 Gbps QSFP28 port into four SFP28 links with a 1.64 ft passive copper cable
Cable Length 1.64 Feet
- 100Gbps aggregate bandwidth for LAN and HPC links
- Splits one QSFP28 port into four SFP28 connections
- 5m length suits dense rack cabling
- 26AWG to 30AWG conductors reduce insertion loss
- IEEE 802.3 bj and InfiniBand EDR compliant
QSFP28 to 4xSFP28 Breakout Cable
This Vszerda breakout cable splits a single QSFP28 port into four SFP28 connections for an aggregate 100 Gbps throughput. It is built for high-speed interconnects in LAN, HPC and SAN environments. The 0.5 metre assembly uses 26 to 30 AWG conductors with a pull-to-release latch. It meets IEEE 802.3 bj, IEEE 802.3 by and InfiniBand EDR requirements.
Suits direct-attach 100G links; not for longer runs
Network engineers linking switches, servers or storage inside a rack will find the short reach convenient. The DAC construction keeps latency low and cost down compared with optical modules. Buyers who need runs beyond half a metre or who require optical isolation should look at transceiver-based alternatives instead.
0.5 metre reach defines the use case
The fixed 1.64 foot length is the critical specification that decides whether this cable fits the physical layout. It connects adjacent equipment in the same rack or row without slack. If the port spacing exceeds this distance, a longer DAC or an optical assembly with separate patch cords will be required.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box and do I need to buy any transceivers separately?
The package contains a single QSFP28 to 4xSFP28 breakout cable. No separate transceiver modules are required because the connectors are integrated into the cable ends.
Which version should I choose for a 100Gbps link?
This cable is built for an aggregate 100Gbps link using 26AWG through 30AWG construction and meets IEEE 802.3 bj and by plus InfiniBand EDR specifications.
What does the 100Gbps rating mean once the cable is installed in a switch?
It provides four 28Gbps lanes that combine to 100Gbps total throughput, with a 1.64ft length and pull-to-release latch for standard QSFP28 cages.
