Alloy RJ45 Coupler for LAN Extension

This alloy RJ45 8P8C coupler joins two Ethernet cables to extend a wired network run. It accepts standard RJ45 plugs on both sides and requires no tools or configuration. The metal housing provides shielding and physical durability for indoor installations. It suits home users and small-office installers who need a quick inline connection.

Passive Inline Joiner Limited to Single Segment

The adapter simply passes signals through; it does not amplify, regenerate or switch traffic. It works within the length limits of the cable category in use and adds no active headroom. Runs that exceed the standard channel distance will still require a powered repeater or switch. Buyers needing PoE power negotiation, managed switching or fibre conversion should select active equipment instead.

Questions about this item

Will this RJ45 8P8C coupler work with the Cat 5e cables I already have installed?

Yes, the 8P8C pinout matches standard Ethernet wiring so your existing Cat 5e patch cords plug straight in and maintain continuity across all eight conductors.

How can I verify the coupler is passing traffic correctly after I connect two cables?

Link lights on both connected devices should illuminate and a ping test between them will confirm end-to-end connectivity through the adapter.
