A 50 cm U.2 SFF-8639 NVME PCIe SSD extension cable with 68-pin male-to-female connectors supporting up to 2 GB/s on PCI Express 2.0 and 4 GB/s on PCI Express 3.0
This Vszerda cable extends a U.2 SFF-8639 NVME connection by fifty centimetres. It features a 68pin male-to-female layout that carries both data and power signals. The assembly is intended for internal routing inside a chassis or backplane. It suits builders who need to reposition a U.2 drive away from the motherboard or backplane connector.
The cable connects a host U.2 port to a target U.2 device without an adapter bracket. It requires a free U.2 receptacle on the board and a matching drive connector. The fifty-centimetre length frees routing space behind drive cages or around long graphics cards. Builders without a U.2 header on their platform cannot use this cable.
The link supports up to 2 GB/s over PCI Express 2.0 and up to 4 GB/s over PCI Express 3.0. Actual throughput depends on the host controller and drive capabilities. The cable does not add latency beyond the physical length. It will not support PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 signalling rates.

At 50 cm the passive cable maintains the rated 2 GB/s (PCIe 2.0) or 4 GB/s (PCIe 3.0) without active signal conditioning.
You need a U.2 SFF-8639 68-pin female port on the host side and a matching male connector on the NVMe SSD.
