Buyers who need Thunderbolt 3 dock or hub support should look elsewhere because this cable does not work with those.

Installation and common issues

The 90-degree male plug inserts into the host and the female port accepts a standard USB-C male-to-male cable, which is not included. Signal quality drops if the total link exceeds three metres, so keep the combined length short. The cable is backward compatible with USB 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0, but full 20Gbps speed only appears when every link in the chain meets the Gen 2 requirement.
