USB-C Card Reader for 2018 iPad Pro

This USB-C adapter reads SD, SDHC, SDXC, MicroSD, MicroSDHC and Micro SDXC cards on compatible devices. It supports the 11 and 12.9 inch iPad Pro models from 2018. Photographers can view images from trail cameras or security systems directly on the screen. Files can be shared to other apps without a computer.

Suits Mobile Photographers and Field Reviewers

The reader suits anyone who needs to offload photos from standard or micro SD cards to a USB-C tablet or laptop while away from a desk. It does not suit users whose devices only have USB-A ports unless they already own a separate adapter. It also does not suit workflows that require simultaneous charging while the reader is connected.

Plug-and-Play Operation with No Driver Required

The adapter works immediately when plugged into a supported USB-C host. No software installation or external power source is needed. Compatibility covers the listed iPad Pro models, MacBook Pro, Samsung tablets, Chromebooks and XPS laptops. The single specification that decides fit is whether the host device supports USB mass storage over its USB-C port.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Vszerda USB-C SD card reader and do I need any extra cables?

The package includes the reader only. No additional cables are required because the USB-C plug connects directly to the host device.

Which version of the reader should I choose for my 2018 iPad Pro 11 or 12.9?

This single model works with both the 11 and 12.9 2018 iPad Pro, so there is no separate version to select.

What does the USB-C connection mean for transfer speed when I use it with a MacBook Pro?

The reader uses the host device's USB-C port, so transfer speed depends on the card and the computer's USB implementation.
