What this cable delivers

The Vszerda USB-C cable supports up to 240W power delivery and 40Gbps data transfer. It drives displays at 8K 60Hz or 4K 144Hz and works with Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 hosts. The cable is new and covered by a 36-month warranty.

Power headroom and limits

The cable negotiates 240W, 120W, 100W, 60W, 30W or 25W depending on the charger and device. It will not supply more power than the connected charger allows. Devices that require a proprietary charging protocol above 240W cannot use this cable.

Interface practical limits

Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3 connections top out at 40Gbps, so the cable does not add bandwidth beyond the host controller. Display output is limited to 8K 60Hz or 4K 144Hz; higher refresh rates at 8K are not supported. The cable carries no Ethernet or proprietary alt-modes beyond the Thunderbolt specification.

Questions about this item

Will this cable deliver 240W charging to a laptop that only accepts 100W over USB-C?

Yes, the cable automatically adapts to the device and charger, so it will safely negotiate the 100W limit your laptop supports while still providing full 40Gbps data and 8K 60Hz video capability.

How can I verify the cable is running at the full 40Gbps data rate after connecting my SSD?

Check the link speed in your operating system’s storage or Thunderbolt utility; it should report a 40Gbps connection, and large file transfers should complete in line with that bandwidth.

Does the box include a power adapter or only the USB-C to USB-C cable?

Only the USB-C to USB-C cable is included; you will need to supply a compatible USB-C charger and any display or storage devices you wish to connect.
