USB4 cable with Thunderbolt 4 support

This USB4 cable delivers 40 Gbps data transfer and up to 240 W power delivery. The 90-degree connector reduces strain on ports during charging or data use. It suits users who need a short, high-speed link between USB-C devices such as laptops, docks or external SSDs.

Users needing high-speed video and charging

The cable supports 8K at 60 Hz or dual 4K at 60 Hz output alongside 240 W charging. It works with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts and is backward compatible with earlier USB standards. Buyers who require a straight connector or a length longer than half a metre should look elsewhere.

40 Gbps data rate with 240 W power

The single specification that decides fit is the combined 40 Gbps bandwidth and 240 W USB Power Delivery 3.1 rating. Both the host and the peripheral must support these speeds and power levels to realise the cable's full capability.

Questions about this item

Will this cable reach the USB-C port on my MacBook Pro M3 if the port is recessed?

The 90-degree USB-C plug keeps the cable close to the chassis, so it fits recessed ports on MacBook Pro M2 and M3 models without bending.

Can I still use this cable with my older Thunderbolt 3 dock and USB 3.2 SSD?

Yes, the USB4 cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 devices, so your dock and SSD will work.

How can I verify the cable is delivering 40 Gbps after I plug it in?

Connect a Thunderbolt 4 SSD or dock and check the link speed in macOS System Information or Windows Device Manager; it should show 40 Gbps when both ends support USB4.
