Converts VGA video and stereo audio to HDMI at 1080p 60Hz with USB power and 3.5mm jack included
This active adapter converts a VGA analogue output on a PC, laptop or DVD player to an HDMI digital input on a monitor, projector or TV. It supports 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz with 24-bit colour depth and transmits stereo audio through a 3.5 mm jack. The device is unidirectional and cannot be used to connect an HDMI source to a VGA display. Windows 7, 8, 10 and Linux are supported with plug-and-play operation.
The micro-USB connector must be attached to a 5 V, 2 A computer port or a 5 V, 1 A power adapter to energise the active conversion circuitry. Without this connection the adapter will not function. A 3.5 mm audio cable and a micro-USB cable are included in the package.
The converter handles both mirror and extend display modes once the VGA, USB, audio and HDMI cables are seated. An HDMI cable between the adapter and the display is required but not supplied. Buyers whose source device lacks a VGA port or whose display only accepts VGA input cannot use this product.

It means the adapter will send a full 1080p picture at 60 frames per second to your HDMI display, matching the native timing of most modern monitors and TVs.
The adapter outputs HDMI and caps the signal at 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, so higher-resolution displays will receive a 1080p image.
You need the VGA plug into the source, the USB cable into a 5 V power port, the 3.5 mm audio jack into the source audio output, and an HDMI cable from the adapter to the display.
