3-Port HDMI Switch for Multi-Device Setups

This 3-port HDMI switch connects three source devices to one display. It suits owners of consoles, streaming sticks or media players who want to avoid swapping cables. The aluminium chassis houses three inputs and one output with a supplied IR remote. Power comes from a Micro-USB cable that is included in the box.

Remote Control and Automatic Switching Change

The IR remote lets you change inputs without leaving your seat. Automatic switching selects the most recently powered-on source. Front-panel LEDs show the active port. Supported audio formats include LPCM, Dolby AC3 and DTS 7.1. Deep-colour modes at 24-bit, 26-bit and 30-bit pass through without compression.

Check Source Resolution

Each source must output a resolution the switch can handle, up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz. HDCP 2.2 content requires compliant cables and displays. Input and output cables should not exceed 5 metres using AWG26 wire. The unit needs a free USB port or charger for the Micro-USB power lead.

Questions about this item

Will the USB power cable or the gold-plated HDMI ports need replacing after extended use?

The switch draws power through the included Micro USB cable; the gold-plated HDMI connectors resist corrosion, so no routine port replacement is expected.

What bandwidth ceiling limits sustained 4K 60 Hz video through the 3.4 Gbps link?

The 3.4 Gbps maximum data rate caps the throughput; at 4K 60 Hz the signal stays within that limit, so the bandwidth ceiling is the first constraint under continuous load.

Does the aluminium enclosure stay cool and silent when the switch runs all day?

The metal case passively dissipates heat from the low-power USB-fed circuitry; with no fan, the unit operates silently and remains cool during 24-hour use.
