What this filter does

The Waterdrop WD-F13 is a carbon-block refrigerator water filter cartridge rated for 300 gallons or six months of service. It reduces chlorine taste, odour and lead while meeting NSF 42 and NSF 372 standards for material safety and contaminant reduction.

Who should buy it and who should not

Households with compatible GE, Kenmore or Hotpoint refrigerators that use the MWF style cartridge will find a direct fit. Builders or owners of units requiring a different cartridge format, a higher flow rate than .5 GPM, or operation above 38°C should look at other options.

The specification that decides fit

The filter carries NSF 42 and NSF 372 certifications on the complete cartridge, confirming tested reduction of aesthetic impurities and lead compliance for drinking water.

Questions about this item

Will the WD-F13 fit the GE MWF slot in my older refrigerator without leaks?

The cartridge is built as a direct replacement for GE MWF, MWFP, MWFINT, MWFA, GWF and Kenmore 9991 housings, so it seats in the same slot and seals at up to 100 psi.

How can I verify the filter is reducing chlorine taste after I install it?

The unit carries NSF 42 certification for chlorine taste and odour reduction and NSF 372 for lead-free material; run two gallons through the dispenser and the taste should be noticeably cleaner.

Does the pack include any installation tools or a bypass plug for the fridge?

The box contains only the white carbon-block filter cartridge; no wrench, bypass plug or additional fittings are supplied.
