Outdoor Wi-Fi 7 mesh node

The Wavlink 573HBE2 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 access point rated IP67 for permanent outdoor installation. It delivers up to 5100 Mbps combined throughput using 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 4323 Mbps on 5 GHz. Four 8 dBi fiberglass antennas provide 360° coverage while a fifth 5 dBi antenna fills near-ground blind zones. It suits farms, campuses, festivals and large gardens that need weatherproof mesh expansion.

Verify cabling and PoE location

The single 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port accepts both Active PoE (802.3at/af) and Passive PoE, but the supplied PoE converter is not waterproof and must be mounted indoors. Use only Cat5e or better cable and keep the run under 100 m or 328 ft. The unit ships with a 54 V power adapter, stainless-steel hose clamps and a main-body holder for pole or wall mounting.

Sustained outdoor operation

The IP67 enclosure and 15 kV ESD plus 4 kV lightning protection are designed for continuous exposure to rain, dust storms and electrical transients. Five selectable modes — mesh router, mesh extender, mesh AP, AP and repeater — let the node integrate into an existing mesh without reconfiguration. Throughput remains at the rated dual-band figures as long as the PoE link stays within the 100 m cable limit and the converter stays dry.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and does the PoE converter need a separate indoor location?

The package includes the BE5100 outdoor AP, a 54V power adapter, a PoE converter, an Ethernet cable, a main body holder, four omni antennas, two stainless steel hose clamps, two silicone pads, a slotted screwdriver and a wrench. The PoE converter is not waterproof and must be installed indoors.

Which capacity or version should I choose for this 573HBE2 mesh system?

This listing is a single 573HBE2 node that delivers dual-band WiFi 7 at 2.4 GHz 688 Mbps and 5 GHz 4323 Mbps. To build a mesh, purchase additional identical nodes; each extra unit adds the same 5100 Mbps combined throughput and extends the 360° coverage.

What does the 5100 Mbps headline speed mean once the unit is mounted outdoors?

The 5100 Mbps figure is the combined theoretical maximum of the 2.4 GHz radio at 688 Mbps and the 5 GHz radio at 4323 Mbps. Real-world throughput will be lower and depends on client capabilities, interference, antenna alignment and the 100 m / 328 ft PoE cable limit.
