8" Crimped-Wire Wheel for Steel Surfaces

This Weiler wheel delivers greater fill density and more aggressive brushing action on steel. The 8" diameter crimped-wire construction runs at 4,000 rpm for consistent material removal. Multiple wheels can be mounted together to widen the working face for larger jobs. It suits metal fabrication, weld cleaning and surface preparation tasks.

Upgrading from thinner or lower-density wheels

If your current wheel loads quickly or leaves uneven finishes, the denser crimped wire cuts faster and lasts longer. The jump is worth it when you need uniform deburring or scale removal across wider areas in a single pass. Not suited for buyers who need non-metallic abrasive media or precision detail work on soft materials.

Questions about this item

What arbor size does the 8-inch crimped-wire wheel need for mounting?

The wheel uses a standard 2-inch centre hole that fits common bench-grinder arbors; multiple wheels can be stacked on the same shaft for wider coverage.

How do you install the wheel so the crimped wires do not deform?

Slide the wheel onto the arbor, add the matching flange washers, and tighten the spindle nut only until the wheel is held firmly — over-tightening flattens the crimps and reduces brushing action.
