Display Features and Construction

The diecast body includes plastic parts and showcases a detailed interior, exterior and engine compartment. Real rubber tyres are fitted and the front wheels are steerable for positioning. The hood and front doors open to reveal the interior details. Dimensions are approximately 7.5 inches long, 3 inches wide and 2.25 inches high.

Shelf Stability and Handling

As a static display piece the model generates no heat, noise or power draw during normal use. Its solid diecast construction keeps it stable on a shelf or in a cabinet without vibration or drift. The moving parts operate smoothly by hand and remain functional after repeated opening and closing. Sustained handling does not degrade the finish or the mechanical action of the doors and steering.

Questions about this item

How do I display the 1/24 scale Volvo 240 GL without damaging the steerable wheels or opening hood?

Place the model on a flat surface; the real rubber tires support its weight while the steerable front wheels and hood hinges stay aligned if you avoid forcing them beyond their detents.

Will the paint or rubber tires on this diecast Volvo 240 GL degrade over time?

The white finish and real rubber tires are stable in normal indoor conditions; keep the model away from direct sunlight and extreme heat to prevent gradual fading or tyre hardening.

What limits how long I can leave the hood and doors open on this 1/24 collectible?

The small metal hinges on the hood and front doors are designed for occasional use; repeated cycling will loosen them first, so keep openings brief during display.
