Compatible MacBook Air Models

This hard case fits 13 inch MacBook Air models with Retina Display and Touch ID released from 2018 to 2022. Supported model numbers include A2337, A2179 and A1932. Buyers with other MacBook sizes or older Air designs cannot use this case.

Heat Dissipation Under Load

Ventilation slots follow the laptop's own airflow pattern to release heat during sustained use. Rubberised feet keep the device stable on a desk while the shell remains snapped on. The case does not block the hinge or any ports during extended sessions.

Practical Fit Limits

The case measures 12 x 8.5 x 0.62 inch to match the laptop's 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.61 inch profile. Two silicone keyboard covers are included, one for 2018-2019 models and one for 2020-2022 models. No cut-outs exist for the Apple logo, which shines through the dark green plastic.

Questions about this item

Will the vent slots on this 12 x 8.5 x 0.62 inch hard case keep my MacBook Air 13 inch cool during all-day use?

The case includes air-follow-through ventilation areas designed for heat release, matching the laptop's 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.61 inch profile so airflow is not blocked.

Do I need to own a specific MacBook Air model number for this Dark Green case to fit?

Yes — it fits only MacBook Air 13 inch Retina Touch ID models A2337, A2179 or A1932 from the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 or 2022 releases.

Can I keep using my older 2018 MacBook Air A1932 keyboard cover with this new case?

The package includes two silicone keyboard covers — one tailored for the 2018-2019 A1932 and another for the 2020-2022 A2337/A2179 — so you can use the correct one.
