Compatible MacBook Air models

This hard-shell case fits MacBook Air 13 inch models with Retina Display and Touch ID released from 2018 through 2022. It covers model numbers A2337, A2179 and A1932 only. Buyers must verify the A-number on the underside of their device before ordering. This product will not fit any other laptop model.

Ventilation and everyday fit

Vent slots follow the chassis airflow paths to let heat escape during normal use. The snap-on design keeps all ports accessible without removing the case. Rubberised feet hold the laptop firmly on the desk. Two silicone keyboard covers are included, one matched to the 2020–2022 models and one to the 2018–2019 models.

Sustained use protection

The rigid plastic shell guards against shocks, scratches and dust during long work sessions. The Apple logo remains visible through the material with no cut-out. The case stays in place while the laptop runs warm, keeping the keyboard cover secure and the ports open for continuous charging or peripheral connection.

Questions about this item

How do I snap the hard shell onto my MacBook Air 13 inch model A2337 without forcing the fit?

Align the top cover with the hinge side first, then press the bottom piece onto the lower chassis until the clips click; the case dimensions are 12 x 8.5 x 0.62 inch matching the laptop's 11.97 x 8.36 x 0.61 inch profile.

Which of the two included silicone keyboard covers fits my MacBook Air 13 inch 2020 M1 model A2179?

Use the cover marked for 2020 2021 2022 releases (A2337 M1 A2179); the other cover is for the 2018 2019 A1932 models.

Will the vent slots on the bottom case keep thermals in check during long video exports on an M1 Air?

The air-follow through ventilation areas and rubberised feet maintain airflow; sustained loads are limited by the MacBook's own thermal design, not the case.
