Three-input optical switcher
The Werleo 3 Port Toslink Switch connects three digital optical sources to a single SPDIF input on an amplifier or soundbar. It is aimed at listeners who want to route a console, a Blu-ray player and a PC through one audio system without swapping cables.
Supports LPCM2.0, DTS and Dolby-AC3
The switcher passes these three audio formats transparently, so the decisive factor is whether your sources and receiver use one of them. If your gear relies on multichannel PCM, Dolby Digital Plus or DTS-HD, this unit will not decode them.
Signal loss below .2 dB per metre
Optical fibre keeps attenuation under .2 dB per metre, allowing runs up to 40 metres without audible degradation. The included 5 V power adaptor supplies stable operation, and the aluminium chassis dissipates the small amount of heat generated during normal use.

Questions about this item
What does the 2.0 in PCM 2.0 mean for my surround sound setup?
PCM 2.0 is two-channel stereo only, so the switch passes stereo PCM but cannot carry multi-channel surround formats like Dolby Digital 5.1.
Which optical audio standard does the switch use, and what format limit does it impose?
It uses the S/PDIF Toslink interface, which caps output to PCM 2.0, DTS, or Dolby-AC3 and cannot pass higher-bitrate formats such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio.
What does the unit need for power and mounting in a rack or shelf?
A 5 V power adapter is included, and the aluminum alloy case sits on a flat surface — no rack ears or wall brackets are supplied.
