Exact model fit

This hard-shell case is made exclusively for the MacBook Air 13.6 inch with M2 chip, Liquid Retina display and Touch ID released in 2022. It matches model A2681 and the listed MLXW3LL/A through MLY43LL/A part numbers only. Buyers must verify the A2xxx code on the bottom of their laptop before ordering. It will not fit any other MacBook Air or Pro model.

Snap-on shell with vents

The two-piece plastic cover snaps on and off without tools and leaves every port, the Touch ID sensor and the hinge fully accessible. Ventilation slots on the bottom allow airflow while rubberised feet keep the laptop stable on a desk. The Apple logo remains visible through the material. A silicone keyboard skin is included to guard against spills and dust.

Wine Red colour option

The case comes in a Wine Red finish that adds a distinctive tone while protecting against scratches, shocks and everyday dust. No other colours or patterns are offered for this model. Buyers who want a different hue or a fabric sleeve instead of a hard shell will need a separate product.

Questions about this item

Does the A2681 model number on the case match the MacBook Air 13.6 inch M2 2022 release?

Yes, this hard shell is made only for the MacBook Air 13.6 inch M2 with Liquid Retina Display and Touch ID 2022 release carrying model A2681; check the A2xxx number on the bottom of your MacBook before buying.

What physical features allow the case to stay on while the laptop runs?

The snap-on design uses rubberised feet to grip the chassis and vent slots that line up with the MacBook's airflow, so the case stays firm and heat can escape without removal.

How do I install the case and keyboard cover without blocking ports?

Align the top and bottom shells with the hinge and port cut-outs, press each corner until they click, then lay the silicone keyboard skin flat over the keys; the case leaves every port open so you can plug in the charger or headset immediately.
