Connects a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI display at 1080p Full HD with secure latching connectors and six-foot length
This one-way cable links a computer with a DisplayPort output to an HDTV, monitor or projector that accepts HDMI input. It supports video resolutions up to 1920x1200 and passes audio through the same connection. The six-foot length suits typical desk-to-screen distances. Gold-plated connectors and double shielding aim to keep the signal stable.
Use this cable when you want to keep an existing HDMI display instead of buying a new DisplayPort model. The jump is worth it if your source only offers DisplayPort and your target only offers HDMI. It handles 1080p Full HD at 1920x1080, 1440x900 or 1280x720 without scaling issues. It will not work in the opposite direction or convert HDMI to DisplayPort.
Connect the DisplayPort end to the computer and the HDMI end to the display; no drivers or power are required. The DisplayPort plug has latches that lock in place, so press the release button before pulling it out to avoid damage. The fixed six-foot length cannot be extended or shortened. Buyers who need a longer run or a bi-directional adapter will need a different solution.

At 6 ft the cable spans a typical under-desk to monitor distance; gold-plated connectors and double shielding keep the 1080p signal stable over that length.
Press the release button on the DisplayPort plug before pulling; the latch secures the connection but must be depressed to unplug cleanly.
The cable supports 1920x1200, 1440x900, 1280x720 and 1080p, so any display using those common resolutions will remain compatible.
