43-inch octagonal softbox

The Westcott Apollo Orb is a 43-inch octagonal softbox designed for studio and on-location photography. It uses an umbrella-style opening mechanism that removes the need for a separate adapter ring. Integrated fiberglass ribs add durability for windy conditions and frequent transport.

Adapter-free octagonal mounting

The defining specification is the built-in octagonal mount that accepts a light directly without an adapter ring. This allows a faster setup compared with softboxes that require a separate speed ring for each light brand.

43.5 by 25 inch light spread

When open the softbox measures 43.5 by 25 inches, giving a broad, even projection with a round catch-light effect. The recessed diffusion panel adds directional control and reduces lens flare. It folds to 3.5 by 35 inches for compact storage.
