Envelope Size and Quantity

These #12 regular envelopes measure 4.75 x 11 inches and come in a box of 500. The tan Kraft stock carries SFI certification and a vellum finish for a professional feel. A diagonal seam and remoistening seal complete the standard construction.

Mailing Volume and Window Preference

Offices sending high volumes of letters, invoices or statements will value the 500-count box and the opaque, no-window face. Buyers who need a window for addressed inserts or who mail only occasional correspondence should look at smaller packs or windowed styles.

Paper Weight Determines Rigidity

The 28-pound basis weight sets the stiffness and opacity of each envelope. Heavier stock resists bending in transit and prevents show-through when multiple pages are enclosed.

Questions about this item

What size paper fits inside the 4.75 x 11 inch #12 envelope?

Standard letter paper folded twice to three panels fits the 4.75 by 11 inch dimensions.

How do you seal the remoistening flap without it sticking prematurely?

Apply moisture only to the flap gum when ready to mail; store the box flat in low humidity to keep the seal dry.

When should the 28 lb kraft envelopes be replaced in storage?

Replace stock if the vellum finish yellows, the diagonal seams split, or the remoistening gum fails to activate after moistening.
