Size and format

These #14 regular envelopes measure 5 by 11.5 inches and come in a box of 500. The tan brown kraft stock is 28-pound weight and carries SFI certification. They suit everyday business mailings that need a standard commercial size.

Construction and seal

A diagonal seam and vellum finish give the flap a smooth feel and a tidy profile. The remoistening seal activates with moisture for a secure closure without tape or adhesive strips. No window is present, so addressing can be printed or handwritten directly on the face.

Volume and limits

Each box contains 500 envelopes and weighs 12 lbs, while a master carton holds 2500 pieces for bulk storage. The 28-pound paper handles typical letter sheets and folded inserts but is not rated for heavy catalogues or rigid contents. Users needing windowed styles or heavier stock should select a different specification.

Questions about this item

Does the remoistening seal on these #14 envelopes dry out or need replacing over time?

The remoistening seal is a one-time adhesive on the flap; once moistened and sealed it cannot be reused, so no maintenance or replacement is required for the seal itself.

What limits how many #14 Kraft envelopes I can run through a high-volume mailing machine before jams occur?

The 28 lb basis weight and diagonal seam construction set the stiffness and thickness that most inserters rate for reliable feeding; exceeding the machine's rated envelope weight causes the first jams.

How much heat or noise does a box of 500 #14 envelopes add when the mailroom runs all day?

The envelopes themselves generate no heat or noise; only the inserting or printing equipment contributes to ambient temperature and sound levels during continuous operation.
