#50 Franklin Clasp Catalog Envelopes

The #50 open-end envelopes measure 5.5 by 8.25 inches and come in a box of 100. Golden Kraft stock at 32-pound basis weight provides a professional look for everyday office mailing. The metal Franklin clasp allows repeated opening and closing without damaging the flap.

SFI-Certified Golden Kraft Construction

Each envelope uses SFI-certified Golden Kraft paper with a machine finish and centre seam. The 32-pound stock weighs 2.3 pounds per box and supports a remoistening seal for a secure first closure. No window is included, keeping contents fully concealed during transit.

Reusable Metal Clasp for Frequent Access

The metal clasp is designed for multiple open-and-close cycles, making these envelopes suitable for catalogs, reports or files that are reviewed repeatedly. The extended flap and centre seam maintain alignment under regular handling. They are not suited for buyers who need a peel-and-seal closure or a larger format for bulky documents.

Questions about this item

How much mail can a 32# Golden Kraft envelope hold before the metal clasp strains?

The 32# paper weight resists tearing for typical catalog or document stacks, and the metal clasp secures the flap without adhesive.

Does the SFI Certified label affect how the envelope performs in a mailing machine?

SFI Certified means the Golden Kraft paper comes from responsibly managed forests; it does not change machine feeding or the remoistening seal.

Will the 5.5 x 8.25 inch open-end envelope fit in a standard #10 business envelope for return mail?

At 5.5 by 8.25 inches it is larger than a #10 envelope, so it cannot nest inside one; it ships flat in a 100-count box weighing 2.3 lbs.
