Collection/Remittance Envelopes for Mail Payments

These #6-3/4 envelopes measure 3.625 x 6.5 inches and arrive in a box of 500. The 24 lb creme pastel sulphite paper features a vellum finish and acid-free construction. Two side seams under provide structural integrity for secure mailing. The open-side design with no window suits standard remittance processing.

Upgrade from Standard Letter Envelopes

The extended flap and large flap area accommodate remoistening seals for reliable closure during transit. This format replaces basic letter envelopes when a larger flap surface is needed for glue adhesion or printing. The jump is worth it for organisations sending payment coupons, donation replies, or invoice returns that require a secure, professional presentation.

Limits of the Remittance Format

The fixed 3.625 x 6.5 inch dimensions restrict contents to folded sheets or single-page inserts. No window means addresses must be printed directly on the envelope or on the enclosed document. The 5.5 lb box weight and 4000 count carton quantity reflect bulk handling requirements for high-volume mailrooms. Acid-free stock ensures document longevity but does not alter postal regulations.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.625 x 6.5 inch dimensions fit standard remittance processing trays?

Yes, the #6-3/4 size at 3.625 x 6.5 inches is the industry standard for remittance trays and processing equipment.

How do I seal the remoistening flap correctly without it sticking prematurely?

Apply moisture only to the gummed area on the extended flap; avoid dampening the vellum-finish body or the flap will seal before insertion.

Does the acid-free 24# sulphite paper require special storage to prevent yellowing?

Store the box flat in a cool, dry area; the acid-free, Creme Pastel sulphite stock resists yellowing under normal office conditions.
