Announcement Envelopes for Mailings

These Western States A-8 envelopes measure 5.5 by 8.125 inches and come in a box of 250. The recycled creme sulphite paper has a vellum finish and is acid free for archival safety. Two side seams under construction add durability for regular handling. They suit announcements, invitations and general correspondence.

250 Envelopes Per Box With Bulk Option

Each box contains 250 envelopes weighing 4.75 lbs, and a full carton holds 2500 pieces for larger jobs. The 28 lb stock feeds reliably through most printers and copiers. Remoistening seals close securely without extra supplies. Very high-volume mailrooms may need multiple cartons to avoid reordering.

Cool Dry Storage Keeps Paper Flat

The recycled sulphite stock performs best when stored flat in moderate humidity. Excess moisture can curl the flap and affect the remoistening seal. Vellum finish resists smudging during hand addressing or light printing. No special equipment or power is required for normal use.

Questions about this item

Will the 5.5 x 8.125 inch size fit standard A-series announcement cards I already use?

Yes, the 5.5 x 8.125 inch dimensions match the standard A-8 announcement size, so existing A-8 cards will fit without trimming.

How can I confirm the vellum finish and acid-free stock are correct after opening the box?

The surface shows a subtle toothy texture characteristic of vellum, and the creme sulphite paper is manufactured acid-free to resist yellowing over time.

Does the box of 250 include any moisture-activated seals, or must I buy adhesive separately?

Each envelope has a remoistening seal on the square flap; no extra adhesive or tape is required for closure.
