Crimps and strips RJ-45, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 cables with adjustable manual capacity and a ratchet cutting action
The Westward 13H874 is a 9 7/8 in snagless crimper built for electricians and installers who terminate RJ-45 plugs on Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 cables. Its ratchet cutting action and adjustable manual stripping capacity let you prepare and crimp voice and data cables in one tool. The molded handle adds comfort during repetitive jobs.
This crimper only accepts RJ-45 modular plugs rated for Cat5, Cat5e or Cat6 wiring schemes. It cannot terminate shielded plugs that exceed the standard RJ-45 body width, nor does it support Cat6a or Cat8 connectors. The ratchet mechanism releases only after a full crimp cycle, so partial compressions are avoided but the tool cannot be used for non-RJ-45 contacts.
The single specification that decides fit is the adjustable manual stripping capacity, which lets you set the tool for the exact conductor gauge of the cable you are terminating. If your project requires a fixed-gauge stripper or a different connector family, this model will not meet that need.

The 13H874 handles RJ-45 connectors on Cat5, Cat5e and Cat6 cables, covering the common voice and data wiring standards used in most installations.
The snagless profile stops the latch from catching on adjacent cables or panel openings, so finished patch cords pull cleanly through cable managers and switch ports.
The ratchet mechanism holds the jaws closed until the crimp reaches full pressure, then releases automatically for a consistent termination without hand fatigue.
