Enclosure for circuit protection

The Wiegmann B-SC enclosure is a carbon steel cabinet rated NEMA 12 and 13 for indoor use. It protects circuit breakers and line-protection devices from dust, dripping water and oil. The ANSI 61 powder-coated gray finish resists corrosion in industrial environments.

Usable depth and mounting capacity

The interior provides 3.88 in of usable depth behind a solid cover secured by captivated screws. A 14-gauge steel body and an included interior panel (part 3A928) give rigid support for mounted components. External mounting plates allow direct wall attachment without additional brackets.

Neoprene gasket and certification compliance

A neoprene gasket seals the screw-on cover to maintain the NEMA rating. The unit carries CSA, cULus and UL listings for code-compliant installations. Builders needing knockouts or a larger footprint will need a different series.

Questions about this item

Will the 14 ga carbon steel enclosure with 10 in height fit on the same wall-mount pattern as my older NEMA 12 box?

The enclosure uses external mounting plates for wall mounting and carries NEMA 12 and 13 ratings, so it can share the same mounting layout as other NEMA 12 rated enclosures of matching dimensions.

How do I verify the captivated cover screws and neoprene gasket are sealing correctly after installation?

Tighten each captivated screw until the neoprene gasket compresses evenly around the solid cover; the ANSI 61 powder coat should show no gaps and the cover will sit flush against the 14 ga carbon steel body.

Does the 8 in wide by 4 in deep box include the 3A928 interior panel and all mounting hardware, or must I order them separately?

The 3A928 interior panel is listed as part of the enclosure, and the captivated cover screws are built into the cover; no additional panel or screw kit is required for basic installation.
