Wiegmann N1C121408 enclosure overview

The Wiegmann N1C121408 is a NEMA 1 rated enclosure designed for indoor line protection and circuit breaker housing. It suits installers and facility managers who need a wall mounted cabinet for electrical distribution equipment. The carbon steel body provides a secure environment for components in dry, non-corrosive locations.

Build quality and mounting details

The enclosure uses 14 gauge carbon steel finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coat for corrosion resistance. A solid hinged cover attaches with a 1/4 turn latch that sits flush to the front face. Pre punched mounting holes allow direct wall attachment and grounding provisions are included for safety compliance.

Thermal and power characteristics

The solid cover and NEMA 1 rating mean the enclosure relies on natural convection through the 7.88 inch usable depth for heat dissipation. No active cooling is integrated so internal temperature rise depends on the installed breaker load and ambient conditions. The steel construction shields contents from falling debris in normal indoor service.
